We'll be back to our regular posting next week once Lauren is back from attempting to climb a really big mountain in South America (because gasping for air in the freezing cold is a great way to start the summer!) Until then, our friends at Trazee Travel have helped you plan when you should head to Montreal for the summer festivals.
Summer Festivals in Montréal
Montréal welcomes the summer season with an array of festivals and special events. Art, music and comedy — the city has something for everyone.
Running now through June 21, this event features more than 150 installations, exhibits and electronic music performances. The second-annual event showcases the city’s bold and innovative digital arts scene.
The urban arts street festival acts as an open-air museum with graffiti, sculpture and multimedia installations. The festival takes place on Saint-Laurent Boulevard June 4–14.
In its 36th edition, the 10-day festival features more than 800 musical performances across multiple indoor and outdoor venues. Tickets are now available for purchase. The festival takes place June 26–July 5.
Featuring some of the biggest names in comedy, the Just for Laughs Festival celebrates its 32nd year this summer. Festival passes are available for the July 8–28 event.
Circus artists from all over Canada and Europe perform at the zany circus spectacle. Individual tickets and festival passes are available. Watch acrobatic, avant garde and family shows July 2–12.
